EXPLORERS
The Colton Fire Department Explorer Program is a service oriented youth organization sponsored by the Boy Scouts of America. This program, designed to familiarize young people with the fire service, seeks to provide direction towards future goals, furnish insight into the fire service, instill discipline, and to develop responsibility. Explorer Advisors mentor young people towards becoming productive adults in the future.
Colton Fire Explorers have a chance to participate in fire department activities including training, station life, and emergency response. Adult supervision is always provided and Explorers are never placed in dangerous situations. The Explorers meet and train monthly and have the opportunity to ride out with the Colton Fire Department. The Explorer Program is for young people between the ages of 14-21; those in school must maintain a 2.0 G.P.A.
